Greeting
May the love of the Father,
the peace of Jesus,
and the presence of the Holy Spirit
be with you all.
Litany of Praise
We all have our share of troubles and anxieties which rob us of that priceless gift – inner peace.
In today’s Gospel we will hear Christ say to us:
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. (pause)
“ Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you’. (pause)
Let us now call upon Jesus, the Giver of Peace. (pause)
Lord Jesus, you heal our troubled minds and restless hearts:
Lord, have mercy.
Lord Jesus, you promise us the Spirit
who will remind us of all that you have told us:
Christ, have mercy.
Lord Jesus, you give us your peace,
a peace that the world cannot give:
Lord, have mercy.
Opening Prayer
A Great and loving Father,
your abiding gift to us
is the Advocate promised by your Son, Jesus.
Calm all troubled hearts,
dispel every fear.
Keep us steadfast in love
and faithful to your word,
that we may always be your dwelling place.
Grant this through Jesus Christ,
the first-born from the dead,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever. AMEN.
B You have promised, O God,
to make your home with those
who hear your word
and put it into practice.
Do not let our hearts be troubled,
but send the Holy Spirit upon us
to remind us of all that Jesus said and did.
We ask this through Jesus Christ,
who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever. AMEN.
